Sweden and Finland will submit their NATO application on Wednesday

Sweden Y Finland will deliver on Wednesday in Brussels their application for admission to the NATOthe Swedish Prime Minister, Magdalena Andersson, announced on Tuesday at a joint press conference with the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, on an official visit to Stockholm.

The announcement came after the Eduskunta (Finnish Parliament) ratified today by a large majority the country’s entry into the Alliance, approved two days ago by the president and the Government, and that the Swedish Executive announced yesterday that it would request entry into that organization.
