According to Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the mayor of this port where the last Ukrainian soldiers recently surrendered, “The occupants announced the extension of the school year until September 1”.

“All summer the children will have classes in Russian language and literature, Russian history and math classes in Russian,” detailed.

“The main goal is ‘de-Ukrainization’ and preparation for the new school year according to the Russian curriculum,” said.

However, he added, the Russian “occupiers” had so far failed to find enough teachers.

After almost three months of siege that devastated the city, on May 20 Russian forces achieved the surrender of the last combatants, entrenched in the Azovtsal steelworks.
