Officials ask to dismiss officials who speak ill of Evo Morales

The bench of legislators of the ruling Movement for Socialism (MAS) asked the Executive Bolivian that public servants can be dismissed “talk bad” of former President Evo Morales, the party or other official leaders.

The pro-government deputy and caucus chief of the PLUSGualberto Arispe, read on Monday the conclusions of the meeting held over the weekend with the Bolivian Executive.

Among its conclusions is to request the “dismissal of public servants who speak against the PLUSformer president Evo Morales and leaders of other social sectors”.

He also demanded that public officials who started working in the transitional government of Jeanine Añez.

Among the other conclusions is recognizing the “leadership of the political leadership” of the PLUS of former president Evo Morales and recognize Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca as president and vice president of Bolivia.

Likewise, a quarterly meeting will be convened for the “leader” Evo Morales with Arce, Choquehuanca, the ministers and members of the Pact of Unity, a bloc of indigenous and peasant organizations related to the Government of Bolivia.

The pro-government caucus will be able to “convene” the ministers “when necessary to discuss projects of interest to the people and to coordinate impact activities,” Arispe said.

At the meeting they also resolved to ask the Ministry of Justice, the Government and the State Attorney General’s Office to prosecute those who they consider were part of the alleged “coup d’état” in 2019 after the failed elections that year.

Among those mentioned are the governor of Santa Cruz and leader of the opposition party We Believe, Luis Fernando Camacho, the former president and leader of the opposition alliance Comunidad Ciudadana, Carlos Mesa, former president Jorge ‘Tuto’ Quiroga and even the secretary general of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro.

They also demanded that the projects presented by the pro-government legislators be “prioritized” and that work be done on the “legislative agenda towards the bicentennial” in 2025.

They also demand a “frontal fight” against drug trafficking, corruption and ordered the entire national caucus to “monolithic unity.”

“It has been recommended to our brother ministers that they work in a coordinated manner to accompany the management and not be dividing from the ministries to the national bench or other social sectors”Arispe pointed out.

He also stressed that all these conclusions are “unanimous in both senators and deputies.”

The constant political activity of Morales has put on the public debate a supposed division within the ruling party, between the Morales bloc with that of President Luis Arce and Vice President David Choquehuanca.
