Two Palestinians die, one of them a doctor, due to Israel’s military incursion

Two Palestinians died this Friday, including a doctor, during an incursion by the Israeli Army in Jenin, a town in northern West Bank occupied where the military raids have been focused for being a bastion of the Palestinian resistance, official sources reported.

The doctor “Abdullah Abu al Teen, 43 years old and father of three children, died this morning while fulfilling his humanitarian duty, helping the wounded,” said the office of the Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhamad Shtayeh, who considered this incident “a dangerous fact that demands an urgent intervention of the international humanitarian and human rights organizations”.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health assured that the doctor was fatally wounded with a bullet in the head “in front of Jenin Government Hospital.”

According to witnesses who were at the scene, he is a member of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad.

This Israeli raid also left five people injured, including two paramedics, the Palestinian government confirmed.

A video released by the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, shows three Red Crescent paramedics getting out of their ambulance when they are caught in a hail of gunfire.

This Palestinian “24 years old and resident of Jenin was arrested when he was carrying an M-16 rifle in his possession,” reported the Israeli forces, who hold him responsible “for perpetrating recent attacks against the security forces and planning other attacks.”

The Israeli army also carried out raids in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Nablus, where it claims to have detained two suspects of having fired live ammunition at its soldiers.

The violence has escalated in West Bank occupied, especially in the area of ​​Jenin and Nablus, as a result of a greater number of raids by the Israeli Army for six months, in response to a wave of armed attacks by Palestinians or Israeli Arabs.
