Ukraine announces receipt of new NASAMS and Aspide anti-missile shields from the West

Ukraine announced this Monday that it received from the United States, Spain and Norway new anti-aircraft defense systems aimed at countering Russia’s massive bombardments against crucial infrastructure.

“The air defense systems NASAMS Y aspid they arrived at Ukraine! These weapons will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army and make our sky safer.” Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Twitter.

“We will continue to shoot down the enemies that attack us. Thanks to our partners: Norway, Spain and the United States”, he added.

Ukraine For weeks it has been demanding its Western allies hand over modern air defense systems, while Moscow steps up attacks on electricity and water infrastructure, causing massive power cuts as winter approaches.

Other countries such as Germany and France have already supplied anti-aircraft systems to kyiv.
