The intense rains that are registered in several regions of Cundinamarca, Colombia, continue to generate emergencies such as landslides, fallen trees and floods. This Saturday there is chaos in the La Calera sector and the authorities attend to various situations generated by the winter at this time.
According to citizen reports, the main emergency points are El Chorote, where floods and a tree fell; Tilatá school, where they report loss of bench on the road, the same situation reported at kilometer 5, in the Capilla sector.

Due to these emergencies, The District Institute for Risk Management and Climate Change reported that the La Calera road is temporarily closed until the area can be secured and drained.

The Mayor Claudia López reported that she has already sent support from the Fire Department to attend to emergencies: “There are heavy rains and overflow in the municipality of La Calera. We have sent @BomberosBogota to support. Please don’t take that route. We will keep it closed until we can secure, drain and evacuate for everyone’s safety.”
