US Congress eliminates mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 for the military

Following the final vote by the Senate, Congress American approved this Thursday the defense budget in which the mandatory vaccination against covid-19 for military.

This provision was added against the position of the Democratic president Joe Bidenmaking it a victory for Republicans, who had threatened not to vote on the bill if they didn’t drop that requirement.

Mandatory vaccination for the military has led to the exclusion of 8,000 of them, according to the Pentagon.

This sanitary restriction, one of the last important ones still in force in the United States, was aimed at protecting the health of American soldiers.

The text, which finances defense for fiscal year 2023, has already been approved by the House of Representatives and now only needs the president’s signature.

Its total amount is astronomical, about 858,000 million dollars. Some 10,000 million were destined for military aid to Taiwan.
