Haiti: Ex-military and a policeman accused of participating in the death of Moise arrested

Police said on their Facebook page that the arrests were made on the orders of Judge Walter W. Voltaire, in charge of investigating the assassination.

During the search of Louis’s home, several objects were confiscated, including three firearms permits in the name of former Senator Jhon Joël Joseph, also arrested in connection with the case.

A total of 11 other police officers are “actively wanted”, following arrest warrants issued against them by Judge Voltaire.

Moise was president of Haiti from 2017 until he was assassinated on July 7, 2021 by a group of armed men who attacked his official residence in Port-au-Prince, without his guards offering resistance. MORE INFORMATION:
