Jumped out of a broken window, after accident
The pet, a four-month-old corgi/blue heeler mix, went missing after his owner Alyssa Reeve was driving home for Christmas from the University of Wyoming on Friday, December 16.
Reeve hit a patch of black ice on the road and lost control of his truck, which flipped on its side, during which Squid jumped out of a broken window. Reeve and a police officer tried to find him before she decided to drive back to her house in California.
The young woman posted about her dog hoping someone on social media would see it. About 10 minutes from the accident site, Condos, an animal lover, saw the post and, together with her mother, went to the accident site to look for him.
Christmas miracle
“He actually dug a hole next to the fence in the snow,” Condos said, explaining how the dog likely survived sub-zero temperatures overnight. He contacted Reeve, who drove back to Evanston to meet the only dog he’s ever owned.
Reeve said she was grateful that a stranger took the time to help find Squid. “He’s kind of christmas miracle”, recorded the medium.
Reeve and Condos did not know each other before the rescue, KUTV reported. “I’m so thankful someone took the time to go look for him,” Reeve said.
