Anti-Chavistas demand recovery of the train fleet of the Caracas Metro

The group referred to the plan of “comprehensive recovery” of the Caracas Metro for which President Nicolás Maduro approved, last September, 150 million dollars, and assured that “to four months” of this rehabilitation project “complaints of electrical failures, delays and insecurity persist”.

In this regard, the representative of Metrocomunidad Jhonny León, who accompanied the opponents, assured that “the reconstruction of the subway goes through the recovery of the train fleet”, made up of 126 devices and of the “56 kilometers in length and more than 225 rail lines, in addition to the recovery of the electrification system that works at 40%”, always according to the note.

According to the Government, the Caracas Metro is 70 kilometers long and has 51 stations in which more than 2.8 million users move daily.
