United States: Cousin of Black Lives Matter co-founder dies after police intervention

A 31-year-old African-American, cousin of one of the co-founders of the movement Black Lives Matterdied hours after receiving electric shocks during a police intervention, the authorities of The Angels.

The events date back to January 3, but they arouse a growing scandal after the police published videos of the arrest of Keenan Anderson on Wednesday, recorded by the cameras carried by the agents who immobilized him.

“He was killed by the police,” Patrisse Cullors, Anderson’s cousin and co-founder of the movement Black Lives matter.

The African-American mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, called for the immediate suspension of the police officers pending the outcome of the investigation.
