“Just as Napoleon mobilized almost all of Europe against the Russian Empire, as Hitler mobilized and conquered most of the European countries to lead them against the Soviet Union, today the United States has created a coalition” against Moscow, Lavrov declared at his press conference. from the beginning of the year.

Their goal is “the same: the ‘final solution’ to the Russian question. As Hitler wanted to solve the Jewish question, now, the Western leaders (…) say bluntly that Russia has to suffer a strategic defeat, ”he added.

Although Moscow regularly accuses Western countries of wanting to “destroy” Russia by sending weapons to Ukraine, these new statements by Lavrov could elicit fiery reactions.

Lavrov already caused a stir last year after claiming that Hitler had “Jewish blood”, and even President Vladimir Putin had to apologize to the Israeli prime minister.

This Wednesday, the head of Russian diplomacy also reaffirmed that Russia was willing to study any “serious proposal” for negotiations by Western countries to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

“We have not yet seen a serious proposal, but we are willing to study them and make decisions,” he said, although he ruled out a dialogue with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky.

Western countries do not stop saying that “you cannot talk about Ukraine without Ukraine” (…) “but it is the West that, anyway, decides”, launched Lavrov.

The minister also once again demanded the withdrawal of any “military infrastructure” located in Ukraine and in border countries and, according to him, “directly” threaten Moscow.
