Panama hands over to Colombia the American John Poulos, accused of murdering DJ Valentina Trespalacios

Panama handed over Wednesday to the authorities of Colombia American John Nelson Poulos, wanted for the murder of the young woman DJ Valentina Trespalaciosa day after he was captured in a Panamanian airport when he tried to travel to Turkey.

The police and immigration authorities confirmed on Wednesday night the transfer to Colombia of john nelson poulos35 years old, from the state of Wisconsin.

poules had reached Panama on Monday from Bogota. The police said that Colombia had issued an Interpol alert against the American as a suspect in the femicide of the DJ Valentina Trespalacios.

Panamanian police intelligence officials alerted the Migration authorities that the person involved was at the Tocumen International Airport, where he was trying to board a flight to Istanbul. On Wednesday, Colombian officials arrived in Panama to take the detainee away.

In a statement, police said that Poulos is being investigated for the murder of his girlfriend, DJ Trespalacios, 21, whose body was found four days ago inside a suitcase in a garbage container in the Versalles neighborhood, from the Colombian town of fontibon.
