Venezuela expresses its solidarity with relatives of the victims of the earthquake in Ecuador

The government of Venezuela expressed solidarity with the relatives of the at least thirteen people who died this Saturday due to the 6.5 magnitude earthquake on the Richter open scale that occurred in the province of Guayas, in the coastal area of Ecuadoraccording to authorities of the Andean country.

Likewise, the foreign minister expressed the support of the Venezuelan Government “to the people of the sister Republic of Ecuador”, to which he expressed “all solidarity”.

According to a report from the Ecuadorian Risk Management Secretariat, at least 126 people were injured by the earthquake, which also affected 17 educational units, 31 health centers and fifty homes, of which seven were destroyed. .

According to the Ecuadorian government, most of the deaths were registered in the province of El Oro, on the border with Peru.

After the 6.5 earthquake that occurred at noon this Saturday, and which was felt in 13 of the 24 provinces of the country, three more of magnitudes 4.8 were registered, as well as 3.7 and 3.6, with an epicenter in the extreme northeast of Isla Puná in the Gulf of Guayaquil (southwest).
