US announces $350 million military aid to Ukraine

The government of USA announced on Monday a new $350 million military aid package to Ukraine.

The Secretary of State, Anthony Blinkensaid in a statement that the assistance includes more ammunition for long-range, high-mobility artillery rocket systems (Himars) and Howitzer guns.

Also, the US will send within this package projectiles for Bradley armored cars and HARM air-to-surface missiles, which are used to attack electronic transmission systems, as well as river boats and anti-tank weapons.

In a statement, the Pentagon specified that the aid also consists of grenade launchers, demining equipment, 81 and 60 mm mortar projectiles and 155 mm artillery ammunition, among others.

Blinken indicated that the Russian offensive against Ukraine continues with “a great human cost.”

“We applaud the more than 50 countries that have come together to provide support to Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity”he pointed.

The US foreign minister said that Russia can end the war this Monday, which began on February 24, 2022, but until it does, the allies will continue alongside Ukraine. “as long as it takes”

Since the start of the invasion of Ukraine, the US has given the country more than $32 billion in military assistance.
