Mexico: Two dead when a hot air balloon caught fire near the Teotihuacán pyramids

Two people were killed and a minor was injured. The hot air balloon in which they were flying over near the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán caught firegreat tourist attraction in Mexicothe government reported on Saturday.

The fire “caused the crew members to jump out of the balloon”, which fell in the common known as Oxtoyahualcoin the San Lorenzo Tlalmimilolpan neighborhood, Teotihuacán municipality, reported the government of the State of Mexico (center) in a statement.

The dead were a 39-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man.. The minor suffered first and second degree burns on her face and extremities and a fractured right humerus, the bulletin added, without specifying whether more people were on board.

The municipality of Teotihuacán is known for its archaeological site of the same name, which is a World Heritage Site and one of the tourist attractions in the area is flying over the impressive pyramids of the Sun and the Moon in a balloon.
