He is known under the acronym of ‘Hoarfrost Sky’ and is a Spanish explorer who has spent five years discovering uninhabitable spaces. Recently, the man, a native of Madrid, made an incredible find in an abandoned house: he found decades-old love poems and paintings.
According to Newsweek magazine, the urban explorer was investigating an abandoned house and stumbled across a sketch that caught his eye. His surprise was great when he saw photographs and poems with great sentimental value.

It should be added that exploring is a practice that consists of discovering unusual or infrequently crowded spaces. Typically, these are buildings or areas that are “off limits”, meaning abandoned crypts to old or haunted bedrooms.
“The poem was written by the old man who used to live there in the 1970s, as a dedication to a book he gave to his wife,” declared the young man, who published what he found through his social networks.
As for the drawings, ‘Hoarfrost Sky’ maintained that some of them were signed by a different person. “I would say that maybe his wife drew them, but I can’t say for sure. There were even some drawings at the end of the book made by a child.” added.
What motivated you to be an urban explorer?
In the post uploaded to Redditthe Madrid explorer revealed that more and more explorers are dedicated to repairing the damage that vandals and thieves have done in these places.
“There are many reasons why we keep looking for places to explore: the emotional stories one can find, the almost poetic atmosphere of loneliness and decay… It’s almost therapeutic in a way,” commented.
He adds that he always liked hearing stories of abandoned places and the secrets they might hide, but he never imagined witnessing something like his latest find.
To close, the Spaniard shared the love poem that most caught his attention and left the translation for the Hispanic and Latin American community.
“It comes to me, nothingness, your silenced love song. Only your figure, in my mind, accompanies me. And for you it is always my thought. For Dove, 8-15-1971. Enrique”, it reads.
