Cristina Kirchner charges against judges by ratifying that she will not be a candidate for president

The vice president of Argentina, Cristina Kirchnerratified this Tuesday that she will not be a candidate for the October general elections, reiterating that the Justice proscribed her when she was convicted last December: “I will not be a mascot of power for any candidacy”, he pointed out in a long letter published on his networks.

I already said it on December 6, 2022. I will not be a pet of power for any candidacy. I have given signs, like no one else, of privileging the collective project over personal location”, pointed out the former president (2007-2015) on the same day that Peronism celebrates its National Congress to advance in the electoral strategy, even without any defined face-to-face candidate.

As the vice president remarked, she does not want to allow the judges to issue a ruling disqualifying her or removing her “any candidacy that may hold”, to leave Peronism like this “in absolute fragility and weakness in the face of the electoral contest”.

At the end of 2022, Kirchner was sentenced to 6 years in prison and perpetual disqualification from holding public office for irregularities in the concession of road works during her tenure as president, a sentence that must go through several instances to be final, for which reason At the moment, nothing prevents the vice president from running for any candidacy.

Already then, the leader of the peronist kirchnerism she announced that she would not run in the elections, convinced that she is politically and judicially persecuted and is outlawed, although her followers have not stopped clamoring for her to run for the Presidency.

When I spoke of the ban in December 2022, it was not in the exercise of divinatory arts, but with the understanding of the historical stage that we are going through”, he remarked today when recalling that the Supreme Court decided last week to stop the elections in two provinces due to the alleged unconstitutionality of the candidacies of their two governors, both Peronists.

Just as three people did with the provinces of Tucuman and San JuanHave no doubt that they will do it against me in order to prevent Peronism from participating in the democratic process, or weaken it, leading us to a dead end.”, he asserted.

What he decided in December, he continued, was a “reasoned and thoughtful decision”.

I know them (the judges), I know how they think, how they act and how they are going to act. I have seen them throughout history and experienced their game firsthand and that of my family, with a persecution tied with surgical precision to the electoral calendar.”, he sentenced.

And he stressed that since 2016 -during the government of the Mauricio Macri (2015-2019)-, Justice, which he calls “Judicial Party”, functions as a task force of the opposition coalition Together for Change and the “concentrated economic groups, to produce the elimination of their political adversaries”.

We must be intelligent to get out of this labyrinth and break the trap into which they want to lead us: that we have a candidacy prohibited by the Judicial Party. Because, faced with a right whose only proposal is to snatch rights, Peronism continues to be the political space that guarantees the defense of the interests of the people and the Nation“, he claimed.
