“I cannot express how proud I am of my parents, not only for going back to school, but for making the most of their time here,” she said in statements collected by People. “My mom took on the role of a mother and she always helped her classmates in various ways. My dad became a college athlete by joining the golf team.”accurate.

Ashley Adams went on to major in Education to become a math teacher. Meanwhile, her mother Robyn graduated with a master’s degree in accounting, while Greg, a retired Army veteran, earned a degree in business.

“The students were very accepting of us, and everyone was always very welcoming,” Robyn admitted. “It is one of the most special moments of my life”, Ashley indicated for her part.
