Government of Ecuador issues the regulation for the legitimate use of force

Terrorism declared as a threat

On May 3, President Lasso signed an executive decree that accepted the provision of the cosepe (the highest security advisory body) and ordered that the Armed Forces, in coordination with the Police, carry out operations to counteract individuals and organizations that commit terrorist acts.

In this regard, the Minister of the Interior, Juan Zapataannounced that next week it plans to sign with the National Court of Justice an agreement for the weapons seized by agents in operations against crime, can be used by the Police.
