The heritage foundationa conservative think tank, filed a lawsuit against DHS to obtain immigration information from the duke of sussexalleging that he could have obtained his visa irregularly.

At the center of the lawsuit are the claims the prince made in his book “Spare”, where he revealed having consumed drugs as cocaine and hallucinogenic mushrooms in the past.

The think tank said at Tuesday’s hearing that the prince may have lied in his visa application, in the section where people are asked about their drug use.

In the forms for US immigrant visas there is a section that asks the applicant to disclose if they have used drugs in the past.

One of the lawyers representing the Heritage Foundation argued in court on Tuesday that the lawsuit is not only about the case of the prince harry but about “law enforcement” migratory.

For their part, the lawyers representing the Government argued that there is no need to deliver the documents to the think tank because it does not exist “a broad public interest” in the US on the subject.

In his memoir “Spare”, the British duke recounts that he used drugs as a teenager and that he even consulted with a woman with “powers”, without giving his name or saying if he was a psychic, who told him that his mother, the deceased Diana of Walesapproved his decision to start a new life in the US with his wife, the American actress Meghan Markle.

Harry and Markle live in California since 2020, following his decision to leave the British royal family.
