Lula da Silva will receive Alberto Fernández this Monday, for the fourth time in 2023

The Brazilian President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silvawill receive his counterpart next Monday Argentinian, Alberto Fernandezin what will be their fourth meeting in Brazil since the progressive leader took office in January, according to official sources confirmed this Thursday.

Fernández will arrive around 10:00 local time (13:00 GMT) at the Planalto Palaceofficial seat of the Executive powerand they will talk aboutthe main issues on the bilateral agenda”, according to the Brazilian Foreign Ministry in a statement.

Lula will then offer a lunch in honor of his Argentine counterpart at the Itamaraty Palaceheadquarters of Brazilian diplomacy, according to the information.

Fernandez traveled to Brazil on October 31 of last year, one day after the second round of the Brazilian presidential elections, to congratulate Lula on his victory.

In addition, he has made three other visits this year: he attended the inauguration of the progressive leader on January 1, held an informal working meeting with him in May and returned at the end of that month to participate in a summit of Latin American leaders.

Lula, for his part, landed in Buenos Aires in January on his first official trip abroad to participate in the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).

Proof that both leaders maintain good political harmony, Lula has promised to help Argentina to get out of the complicated financial situation in which it finds itself through mechanisms to boost Brazilian exports and the creation of a common currency for commercial operations.
