The party’s candidate National Unity of Hope (UNE) called on Guatemalans who have not yet gone out to cast their votes to come to the voting centers before closing, which will be at 6:00 p.m. local time (00:00 GMT early Monday morning).

Torres withdrew, assuring: “We expect transparent elections and that everything goes well”.

According to experts, the 67-year-old candidate has a solid vote in rural and indigenous areas of the country, but not in the urban area.
