The daily average of deaths in the last 7 days stood at 527 today, while the average of daily cases was 16,027, both values ​​higher than those registered two weeks ago due to an update of data from several states, which were dammed. .

According to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health, Brazil has 20.34 million people who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 and who have already been discharged, while the number of patients with a confirmed diagnosis of covid-19 that remain under medical monitoring was located this Sunday at 417,156.

Despite the figures, which confirm Brazil as one of the countries most affected by the pandemic in the world, along with the United States and India, the number of cases and deaths has been falling systematically since last June, after the The country will experience a deadly second wave between March and April, when the average number of deaths reached a record 3,124 per day.

The slowdown in the health emergency coincides with the continuity of the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, which began in mid-January, in the country, which has some 213 million inhabitants.

According to the data released this Sunday, almost 68% of the population has already received at least one dose of the antidote, which is equivalent to about 144.7 million people, while 41% (or 87 million Brazilians) have already completed the guideline.
