Iran warns that it will not receive a new Swedish ambassador and will not send its own to Stockholm

The foreign minister of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahianhas affirmed that his country will not receive a new ambassador from Sweden and will not send an Iranian to Stockholm “unless the Swedish government takes serious action against the person who desecrated the sacred Koran”The official Iranian news agency, IRNA, reported on Saturday.

“The Swedish ambassador in Tehran has finished his term, and the president of the Islamic Republic has ordered not to receive the new Swedish ambassador unless the government of his country takes serious action against the person who offends the sacred Koran”said Abdollahianaccording to IRNA.

“And we won’t be sending our new ambassador to Sweden”added the Iranian, who stressed that “We have informed the Swedish government of this decision.”
