Iran and Belarus agree to intensify military cooperation before the war in Ukraine

The Defense Minister of belarus, Victor Jreninagreed today with the Iranian authorities during a visit to Iran the intensification of military cooperation between the two countries, which openly support Russia in his war with Ukraine.

jreninwhich arrived on Monday at Tehranmet today with the chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Bagheriafter having a meeting the day before with his Iranian colleague.

“The parties marked the steps to be taken for a deepening and intensification of bilateral cooperation”, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

Among other things, the ministers discussed the prospects for cooperation in employment and preparation of the Armed forces.

Khrenin and the Iranian Defense Minister, Mohammad Reza Ashtianisigned a cooperation memorandum between the two structures on Monday.

Belarus, which now hosts the mercenaries of the wagner groupis accused of Ukraine of complicity with the Kremlin by ceding its territory to Russian military intervention.

While, kyiv and West accuse Tehran of supplying Moscow suicide drones shahedwhich have wreaked havoc on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.
