Nicolás Petro bought a mansion, an apartment, a Mercedes and luxury accessories in one year: everything the tax accusation says

The prosecutor pointed out inconsistencies between his tax returns and his bank movements.

For example, he said that in 2022 he received 251.4 million pesos ($64,000) for his work as a deputy, but he supposedly spent 1.6 billion ($408,000).

“Where does that money come from to your coffers?”the prosecutor asked.

“None of it is wages or leasing,” said the prosecutor, who recalled that in 2022 the total income of Petro Burgos they were 280,331,394 pesos (about 70,000 dollars).
