Nowadays the technology it is present everywhere, and schoolchildren know it very well. They are more in touch with these changes. Therefore, they will be able to participate in the National School Invention Contest “Inventors of the Future”, which will award a total of 12 thousand soles in prizes.
The contest is promoted by Indecopi and the Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN) and students may apply until August 25. It is aimed at students from the third grade of primary school to the fifth year of secondary school.

The contest has two categories and a special recognition, according to information from the Andina agency. These are the modalities:
– Category A: In this category are the inventions developed by schoolchildren from the third year of primary school to the first year of secondary school. The winner of this category will receive S/3,000 and his adviser S/ 1,000, along with some participation certificates.
– Category B: inventions developed by schoolchildren (individually or in groups), from the second to the fifth year of secondary school. The winner or winning team will receive S/ 4,000; and their adviser S/ 1,000 in cash, as well as participation diplomas. The school will receive a distinctive trophy and a recognition diploma. In each category, five finalists will be defined who will support their projects before a specialized jury, which will choose the winners.

– Special Recognition: called “My Favorite Invention”, whose winner or winning team will be chosen by public vote. You will receive S/ 2,000, and your advisor S/ 1,000 in cash, as well as the respective diplomas.
Where and how to register?
Registration will be open until August 25, 2023. The bases are in the following link. To participate, students must have an advisor, who must be a school teacher, designated by the school management through the application forms.
They may apply for projects prepared by schoolchildren that solve a particular problem or need in any field of technology or daily life that affects their environment or that of their community, or that improves people’s lives.
