Diosdado Cabello, number two of the ruling party in Venezuela, arrives in Cuba

The leader of the SUV has an agenda that includes official conversations with the organization secretary of the PCC, Roberto Moralesand dialogues with other senior Cuban officials about the work of both formations and the possibilities of “strengthening interparty exchange and collaboration.”

The statement of PCC stresses that its links with the SUV “They are founded on the bases of common principles such as anti-imperialism, solidarity, the defense of democracy and cooperation.”

Emphasizes that Cuba maintains “its firm support for the Bolivarian process, for President Nicolas Maduro and to the civic-military unit that it leads”.

Cuba and Venezuela they are close political and economic allies since the arrival of the late president Hugo Chavez to power in 1999.

As of 2000, Venezuela became the main supplier of crude oil to the Caribbean island through an agreement that grants preferential prices in exchange for medical and educational services.
