Russia discusses issues of military cooperation with Venezuela and Bolivia

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomindebated today with senior military representatives of Venezuela and bolivian military cooperation issues as part of the Army 2023 international forum, which is being held this week at the Russian Army Patriot theme park, west of Moscow.

fomin met with his Venezuelan counterpart, Colonel General Renier Enrique Urbaez Ferminwith whom he boarded “Current issues of military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Venezuelaand marked the future steps for its development”reported the Russian Defense Ministry in a statement.

He also held a meeting with the commander-in-chief of the Bolivian Armed Forcesgeneral Hugo Eduardo Arandia Lopezwith whom he confirmed “the mutual willingness to deepen dialogue and practical interaction, in order to carry out joint activities of mutual interest”.

To the forum and fair military 2023, around 800 delegates from 76 countries attend, including representatives from several Latin American nations that are allies of Russia o They maintain good relations with the Kremlin despite the war in Ukraine.

This Tuesday, at the XI Conference on International Security of Moscowheld within the framework of the military fair, the Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoiguaddressed directly to the representatives of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaraguawhom he thanked for supporting the Russian military campaign in Ukraine.

He also called the delegates of Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico and Argentina to deepen military contacts with Moscow.
