He explained that many migrants that were in the riverbed were dispersed to avoid attacks by Mexican gangs and criminals.

He said that in the face of the attacks, many other migrants decided to run to cross the small channel (two meters wide) of the Rio Grande, until they were trapped in the barbed wire barricade in what is already US territory and thus feel safer, while others reach the wall.

From the same country, Mexican criminals started throwing rocks at them and stealing their water, so they dispersed, I think it’s a little difficult to cross now.“, added the migrant.

Given this scenario, the Venezuelan said he will await his appointment. “Going like this is more risky, they will leave you there all day from 3 am until the afternoon, you could become dehydrated and it is not certain that they will let us pass.”.

Hundreds of migrants camped days ago on the riverbed, in front of gate 28, at the height of the sculpture.”OX“, located in Mexicanity Square on the border with Ciudad Juárez.

They then climb to the foot of the wall, where they form a line that starts at gate 28, where they await the arrival of the absent Immigration agents. U.S detain them and take them to a detention center to begin the process.

This Monday, throughout the morning, agents of the National Migration Institute They did not appear near that gate where the migrant camp is concentrated, so border surveillance was left entirely in the hands of the United States National Guard.

Faced with the entry of hundreds of migrants under the barbed wire, the National Guard changed its strategy and placed an agent every hundred meters along the border river, but the migrants continued to cross.

All hostels are also ‘full’, at least a little roof over your head to sleep and spend the night. We stay here, we’re seeing if there are jobs“Marín added.
