At least 10 migrants killed and more than 20 injured in cargo truck accident in southern Mexico

A new road accident in the state Mexican in Chiapas (south), the second in less than a week, left at least 10 migrants deceased, probably all the women of Cuba who traveled clandestinely in a rudimentary cargo truck.

According to a report from the local Security Secretariat, another 25 foreigners were injured in this accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning, on a route usually used by human traffickers who intend to transfer them to the border with U.S.

A source from the Public Ministry who asked not to be identified told AFP that the victims apparently came from Cuba and all women, including a minor.

The truck, whose body was made of pieces of wood, was partially destroyed among the clothes, bags and backpacks that the occupants were carrying.
