A 6-year-old girl is among the Peruvians asking to leave Gaza and go to Egypt

Two families, one of them with a 6-year-old Peruvian girl, contacted the Embassy of Peru in Egypt try to abandon Link in the midst of Israeli bombings following attacks by the Islamic group Hamasreported this Monday the Peruvian ambassador in Cairo, Guilherme Betancourt.

The diplomat stressed that “alreadyWe have established contact with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to allow us to receive this family, this Peruvian girl and her Palestinian mother, from the Rafah border post to Egyptian territory” he claimed.

Betancourt also said that this Monday morning they were informed of a second case of Peruvians who tried to leave Link in the direction Egypt.

“We still don’t have complete data on this second question, because it was through a family member that they have in mind. Peruwho called this mission to tell us that she is a Peruvian mother, her husband and three children”, he detailed.

The ambassador reiterated that they are “in permanent contact with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, if necessary“they will get closer”to the Rafah border post to receive this Peruvian family”.

When referring to the current situation in that border area, he commented that “It is very delicate for people passing through“, why “At this time, the Egyptian authorities do not allow entry into their territory”.

“Open it immediately, we will be there to allow this Peruvian girl, duly identified by name and whose details we sent to the Foreign Ministry, to enter Egypt without any setbacks.”, he emphasized.
