A man posed as a mannequin so he could wait at a mall after work to steal jewelry.

The 22-year-old man stood frozen in the window of a shopping center in the Polish capital Warsaw.

He is not so subtly depicted holding a bag with his arm outstretched before “robbing the store.”

“When he felt safe, he went hunting and robbed a jewelry stall,” Warsaw police said.

The man, who has since been arrested, treated himself to a meal before slipping under the shutters of the store, Warsaw police said.

But the hungry shoplifter treated himself to a second meal before being arrested by security.

Police said: “He stopped at the restaurant again to get something to eat.

“But at one point he was unlucky when he was spotted and captured by security personnel.

“It is already known that the 22-year-old also committed thefts and burglaries in another gallery, where he took money from various cash registers and tried to steal other items after the closure.”

The man was charged with burglary and theft and was arrested.

He faces a prison sentence of ten years.
