The US urges its citizens abroad to take extreme precautions due to global tensions

U.S This Thursday, it issued a recommendation to all its citizens abroad to take extreme precautions due to global tensions arising from the Gaza war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas.

The US State Department issued a Global Care Safety Alert for its citizens to be cautious “possible violence and increased tensions in various parts of the world”.

The President’s Administration Joe Biden warned that there could be terrorist attacks, demonstrations and attacks against American citizens.

The document recommends paying attention to places frequented by tourists, registering in the official travel registry and paying attention to the State Department’s social networks.

This same Thursday, the United States asked its citizens to leave Lebanon due to the escalation of clashes between the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah and the Israeli Army.

The US Government has also advised its citizens to reconsider travel to Israel and the occupied West Bank, and not to travel to the Gaza Strip.

In recent days, several protests have been called in front of United States embassies and consulates in several countries around the world, especially in the Middle East, against the strong support that Washington has shown for Israel in the face of the Gaza war.

The Palace of Versailles, in France, was evacuated this Thursday, for the fourth time since Saturday, due to bomb alerts that also led authorities to evacuate at least eight airports, in a context marked by the terrorist threat.
