Kim Jong-un meets with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Pyongyang

The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Unmet today in Pyongyang with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrovreported Russian diplomacy.

The department headed by Lavrov did not give details of the meeting and limited itself to reporting that it lasted just over an hour after arriving in Pyongyang the day before, after participating in the Third Forum of the New Silk Roads, held in China.

This is Lavrov’s fourth visit to North Korea and follows the summit held last September between the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, It is Kim Jong Unand the creation of working groups to take relations between the two countries to “a new level” in all areas.

Although the details of this summit held in the Russian Far East were not made public, Moscow assured that it provided space for military and space cooperation between the two countries.

Before meeting with the North Korean leader, Lavrov informed at a press conference that next November Russia and North Korea will hold an intergovernmental commission to discuss cooperation in geological prospecting and energy supply.

“Next month, the tenth session of the intergovernmental commission on economic, commercial and technical-scientific cooperation is scheduled to take place”, Indian.

Lavrov stressed that the commission will focus on aspects of cooperation between the two countries addressed last September by their leaders.
