Knife attack in East Jerusalem: Israeli soldier seriously wounded, attacker killed

A new knife attack occurred this Monday in East Jerusalem. The area of ​​the attack near the Damascus Gate, one of the entrances to the Old City, was cordoned off and Israeli police chief Yaakov Shabtai rushed to the scene.

And on October 30, a Palestinian from East Jerusalem was killed after stabbing an Israeli policeman outside a nearby gas station. “Our police officers have been on the front lines for a month,” said Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who advocated “zero tolerance” and called for the attacker’s home to be destroyed.

Also in the morning, a Palestinian was killed and three others were wounded by “Israeli bullets” in Halhoul, near Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. In the occupied West Bank, more than 150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers and settlers since it began on October 7.
