Irish MMA and boxing world champion Conor McGregor has spoken out about the Dublin knife attack and the violent protests that followed.

He shared his thoughts

Three children aged between five and six and a woman in her 30s were taken to hospital this afternoon after an attack outside a school in central Dublin.

He used his platform to call for action and criticize the police chief.

McGregor said: “Innocent children were brutally stabbed to death by a mentally disturbed foreigner in Dublin, Ireland today.

“Our police chief had this to say about the unrest that followed. Drew, not good enough.

“There is a great danger looming among us in Ireland that should not exist here at all and no action has been taken to assist the public in any way from this terrible act.”

‘Not good enough. Make changes or make space. Ireland for the win. God bless those attacked today, we pray.”

Irish police have not yet confirmed the nationality of the “person of interest”, a man in his 50s, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the attack.

McGregor has since sent out more tweets saying: “You reap what you sow.”

“Is there any update on the welfare of the people stabbed today?” Absolutely creepy scenes all day, my stomach is turning.

“How can we expect this to end if absolutely nothing is done about these increasingly common occurrences where literally nothing is done?”

‘We need reforms.’ We need action!’
