Ukraine: Two women and a little girl died in Russian bombing in the northeast

The atrocities committed in Ukraine remind us that the conflict there, unfortunately, still continues. Two women and a seven-year-old girl died Tuesday in an explosion in the Sumy region, located in northeastern Ukraine on the border with Russia, the regional prosecutor’s office said.

The bodies of two women and two wounded men were recovered from the rubble of damaged houses in the town of Seredina Buda, the prosecutor’s office reported on its Facebook page.

At the time of the strike, the girl was in the car with her stepfather. They were both injured, the prosecutor’s office added. “The girl later died in hospital from her injuries,” the same source reports.

At least five houses destroyed

The explosion was carried out at about 12:30 local time (11:30 Paris time) using a multiple launch rocket system, according to preliminary data, the prosecutor’s office said. “At least five houses were destroyed,” he continued, posting photos of buildings with destroyed walls or roofs.

Ukraine accuses Russia of regularly bombing its border communities since Moscow launched an invasion in February 2022 of its neighboring neighbor, whose vast areas in the east and south are occupied by Moscow’s troops.
