Kate and William showed off their family portrait for the end of year holidays

Black and white photo in honor of the 2023 Christmas card. Prince and Princess of Wales William and Kate unveiled this Saturday the photograph that will grace their end-of-year greeting card.

The photo, taken by Josh Schinner, is nothing short of a classic. Parents Kate and William look after their three children: George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5). Everyone is wearing jeans and white shirts.

Family tradition

“It was a pleasure photographing the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for their annual Christmas portrait. Without a doubt, it was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sessions I’ve ever had, and now I have a whole new list of jokes thanks to the kids,” the photographer responded on his Instagram account.

The couple and their children also appeared publicly this Friday at the Together for Christmas concert held at Westminster Abbey in London.

However, their Christmas photograph was the first official photograph since the coronation of Charles III on 6 May. Christmas cards and their photographs are a long-standing tradition that Kate and William do not deviate from. But the king and his wife Camilla also followed tradition and opened their greeting card. However, there is no new photo: the royal couple simply reused the official coronation photo taken at Buckingham Palace.

The card is accompanied by a very short text: “Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
