The Taliban mourn the death of the emir of Kuwait

The Government of Taliban This Saturday he expressed his regret at the death of the emir of Kuwait, Nawaf al Ahmad al Sabahwho passed away today at the age of 86, while wishing good decisions for the future of Kuwaitis.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and all the Afghan people share the great pain with the people of Kuwait in this sadness”the main spokesman for the de facto government of Afghanistan, Zabiullah Mujahid.

“We asked A almighty to help other Kuwaiti leaders manage this tragedy and make good decisions for the future of Kuwait Kuwait” he added.

The emir died today at the age of 86, after being urgently admitted to hospital last month. The Royal House of Kuwait did not reveal the reasons for his death.

Nawaf assumed power as emir in September 2020, but resigned at the end of the following year “some of its constitutional powers” to the crown prince, Mishaal al Ahmed83 years old, who will be the new emir of the small Gulf country, according to the Constitution.
