On December 24, 1906, Canadian professor Reginald Aubrey Fessenden performed at night (Goodnight) the first radio broadcast, in which his voice is heard reading one of the excerpts from the Bible and the song O Holy Night, performed by him on the violin, on some ships sailing near the island of Terra Nova.
