Ukraine shoots down 32 of 46 drones launched by Russia last night, leaving at least three dead

Russia launched last night against territory Ukrainian 46 Shahed kamikaze drones, of which the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense managed to intercept 32, in an attack that left at least three dead.

“A total of 46 launches of Shahed-136/131 in waves at different times, from 7pm on December 26th to 3:50am on December 27th”, indicates the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram, where it specifies that 32 aerial vehicles were destroyed enemy attack drones.

He adds that the attacks were launched from two directions: from Balaclavain occupied Crimea, and since Primorsko-Akhtarskin the Russian region of Krasnodar.

Most of the drones that were not shot down attacked frontline areas, especially the Kherson region, while others fell without causing damage.

Air defense systems operated in a total of eight regions –Mikolayiv, Odessa, Kherson, Dnipro, Vinnitsia, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnitsky and Kirovograd.

Meanwhile, the head of the military administration of Odessa, Oleg Kiperreported two deaths and two injuries when an unmanned device hit a country house during the night attack, in which anti-aircraft defense managed to shoot down twelve drones in the region.

The Minister of the Interior, Igor Klimenkoalso reported one death in the region of Kherson in the attack on the premises of an agricultural research institution.
