War in Ukraine: Putin still threatens the West

There is a “real threat” of nuclear war with its “tragic consequences” of “destruction of civilization” if the West sends military contingents to Ukraine. Thus, Vladimir Putin, in his annual address to the nation this Thursday, February 29, responded to the hypothesis put forward by Emmanuel Macron after a meeting on Monday at the Elysee Palace of the allied countries in Kiev about the need to send troops to Ukrainian soil. Even if he did not mention the name of the French president, he mentioned Napoleon’s defeats to clarify the situation!

This is not the first time since the invasion two years ago that the Russian president has raised this serious threat to dissuade Europeans and Americans from helping the Ukrainians. So far unsuccessful, since military and economic support, on the contrary, continued to increase. As evidence, a person familiar with the situation points out that deep Ukrainian strikes using Western weapons destroyed strategic fuel depots located more than 1,000 km from the Russian border. “Two years ago this would have been unimaginable: providing such funds would have been a red line,” the source said.
