Last week, a survey carried out by Institute for Strategic Research and Consulting (Ipec) indicated that 33% of Brazilians consider “Good”to the Government, compared to another 33% who describe it as “regular” and 32% who describe it as “terrible”.

These results represented a five-point drop in positive perception compared to a similar survey by the same Ipec published last December.

Lula maintained that all research is “a photograph of the moment”and that the results serve to plan“actions and strategies”, but furthermore acknowledged that the Government has not yet fulfilled its campaign promises.

He claimed that 2023, the first year of the third term he obtained at the polls after governing for two consecutive periods between 2003 and 2010, served to lay the foundations for his administration.

So far we have prepared the land, plowed the land, treated the land and sown the seeds“, with what “This year we will begin to reap what we sow” he declared.

Lula highlighted that during 2023 they were “more than 80 social inclusion policies recovered” which had been abandoned during the government of his predecessor, the far right JairBolsonaro (2019-2022).
