Hunter Biden will be tried in June for illegal possession and purchase of a weapon

Biden Hunterson of the American president, Joe Bidenwill be tried in June for purchasing and carrying a weapon in 2018, something illegal when the user consumes drugs, reported the District Court of Delaware.

The process is set for the weeks of June 3rd and 10th, but the exact days and duration will be specified later.

Biden Hunter He faces three charges related to illegal purchase and possession of weaponswhich can mean up to 25 years in prison, although the sentence is usually less severe for those, like him, who have no criminal record.

According to the indictment, on or about October 12, 2018, he lied when he assured that he did not use drugs when he purchased a 38 caliber Colt Cobra pistol.

Hunter Biden, 54, pleaded not guilty on October 3 and, as a result, the case has moved forward and will go to trial.

The son of the current president publicly acknowledged that for years he fought against alcohol and drug dependencewhich worsened after the death of his brother Beautiful in 2015 for a brain tumor.

Investigations against him were opened in 2018, during the mandate of donald trump (2017-2021) and have been used by Republicans to attack the Democratic president.

The trial will coincide with Biden’s election campaign. Both the president and Trump managed to secure the necessary delegates this Tuesday to see their candidacy confirmed at their respective party conventions in the summer.

This same Wednesday it also became known that Hunter Biden refused to appear at a public hearing next week before the House committee.
