Accusations reminiscent of the dramatic events of February 29. The Hamas health ministry said early Friday that 11 people were killed and nearly a hundred were wounded as Israeli fire hit crowds awaiting humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
“Israeli occupation forces attacked a gathering of citizens waiting for humanitarian aid (at a Gaza City roundabout, editor’s note). So far, 11 dead and 100 wounded have been taken to Al Chifa Hospital,” the ministry said in a statement. The Israeli army, contacted by AFP, did not immediately comment on this information.
On February 29, a food aid distribution organized by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip turned tragic. According to Hamas, more than 110 Palestinians were killed and several hundred more were injured under unclear circumstances.
