Gaza authorities clarify that the 13 deceased patients were in the intensive care unit, where there are another 22 patients who require urgent treatment or their lives are also in danger, while the hospital houses numerous injured people whose wounds are becoming infected and rotting. due to the lack of disinfectants.

“Senior Hamas officials were detained, more than 140 terrorists were eliminated in hand-to-hand clashes and Islamic Jihad operatives surrendered,” a military statement said, indicating that Defense Force soldiers and agents from the Shin Bet intelligence service remain the search for suspects in Shifa.

The Army stated that during searches of the hospital, numerous weapons and intelligence documents were discovered that contributed to the advancement of the war.

Among the members of Islamic Jihad who surrendered, the Army cited Huasem Salama, head of intelligence and head of the Gaza Brigade’s observation team, and his brother, Wissam Salama, in charge of the Islamic group’s propaganda.

Among those detained are three senior Hamas officials in the occupied West Bank, who directed “terrorist activities in Judea and Samaria (West Bank): Omar Azida, head of the Nablus committee; Mahmud Kwasma, who “planned and financed the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers in 2014”; and Hamdallah Hassan Ali, one of the main promoters of “terrorist activity” in that area in recent years.

“Fighting in the hospital area continues with significant clashes with the enemy and exchanges of fire,” the Army said.
