Bolivia: President Arce celebrates birthday of the party in power without Evo Morales

The president of Bolivia, Luis Arcecelebrated this Thursday with some social organizations the 29th anniversary of the officialization Movement for Socialism (MAS), amid internal struggles and in the absence of the former president and current party leader Evo Moraleswhich will hold its parallel celebration over the weekend.

Arce led the event along with the vice president, David Choquehuancaand several leaders of social organizations related to his Government, including those of the Bolivian Workers Center (COB), the largest union entity in the country, and the confederations of farmers, indigenous people, traders and transporters.

“We must never betray the Bolivian people who placed their hope, who trusted in this political instrument to achieve everything that Bolivians dreamed of, a dignified and industrialized homeland, where no one believes they are more than anyone else, where there is a place for everyone.“Arce said.

The president indicated that there are some important challenges in MAS, such as building a “people power” in places such as neighborhoods and universities, since the “True power“resides”in the people”.
