Iran-Israel: The United States, the only country to talk about the “Israeli attack”, says it was warned by the Jewish state

Many American media outlets this Friday wrote that “Israel attacked Iran,” citing several officials interviewed by American channels, including CNN and NBC. They said the explosions reported early this Friday in central Iran were linked to Israel’s retaliatory attack on Iran. Iranian strikes on Israel on April 13 and 14.

“Israel was forced to respond, but at the same time it sends the following message: Yes, we can pass. Don’t do this again. If you start over, everything will explode ” assesses the former American general on CNN. For its part, the Israeli army told AFP it had no comment “at the moment.”

“No damage” to Iranian sites

Iran reported three explosions near a military base in Qakhjavarestan, a city located between Isfahan and its airport in the center of the country, the official Fars news agency said. The drones were shot down, but there was no missile attack “yet,” authorities said. And nuclear installations based in the Isfahan area are “completely safe,” Tasnim said.

Iran activated its air defenses in several provinces, but “no large-scale destruction or explosions were reported,” the official Irna news agency said, based on information reported by its journalists. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that there was “no damage” to the facilities. Operations resumed early in the morning at all airports in the country, including two in Tehran, as well as Esfahan and Shiraz, after being suspended due to the explosions.

Washington was warned about the attack on Thursday but did not approve the operation or play any role in its execution, officials also said, citing US networks NBC and CNN.

Embassy calls for travel restrictions to Israel

The American embassy states on its website that “US government employees and members of their families” cannot travel “for personal reasons” outside the major cities of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Beersheba.

The security notice, valid “until further notice,” means they cannot travel particularly to the north of the country, near the Lebanese border, where the Israeli army and Iran-backed Hezbollah have exchanged fire almost daily since October.

In general, US citizens should remain “cautious” as “security incidents often occur without warning.” “The security situation remains difficult and may change quickly,” the embassy reminds.

She adds that depending on the circumstances, restrictions could extend to “other regions of Israel (including the Old City of Jerusalem) and the occupied West Bank. Australia, for its part, called on its citizens to leave Israel and the Palestinian territories due to the “strong threat of military reprisals and terrorist attacks.”
